Cirque du Soleil Celebration Cake
I was honored as a recent graduate of the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Tampa to be selected to join the team to design and create the 5,000th performance celebration cake for the Cirque du Soleil this past July.
First we decided to create an illusion of the cake coming alive from out of the Saltimbanco playbill, this was our starting point in directing how the cake would look.
I was then given the task to create life-like replicas of the cast of characters to adorn the cake.
